This will cover your employee(s) if they are injured on the job and need coverage for wage loss or medical needs related to said work injury.

As explained in Entrepreneur’s “Workers’ Compensation 101” online article, most states:

…require employers to purchase an insurance policy [in order] to handle their statutory obligations to workers who are injured or made ill due to a workplace exposure.

Enrolling is Easy
As stated at

Employment Practices Liability (EPLI)
Liability Insurance Protection from wrongful acts arising from employment. Common claims include sexual harassment, retaliation, & wrongful termination.

What is EPLI Insurance?
Employment Practices Liability Insurance covers employment related claims (listed above) in addition to other types of inappropriate workplace conduct. EPLI policies can also cover areas such as defamation, failure to promote, invasion of privacy, negligent evaluation, and deprivation of a career opportunity. With this coverage, the policies would apply to directors and officers of the company, management personnel, and employees, all as the insureds.

Things that are likely to be excluded from EPLI insurance include bodily injury, property damage, and intentional/dishonest acts. As explained at the International Risk Management Institute website, Employment Practice Liability Insurance policies are written on a claims-made basis. In other words:

The forms contain “shrinking limits” provisions, meaning that insurer payment of defense costs—which are often a substantial part of a claim—reduce the policy’s limits. This approach contrasts with commercial general liability (CGL) policies, in which defense is covered in addition to policy limits.

How Do I Enroll?
Enrolling in a policy is as simple as calling one of our knowledgeable agents to walk you through the application process. We’re here to make everything easy to understand and find you the most affordable protection options for your business. EPLI is available as stand-alone coverage and is also sold as part of a management liability package policy. Give us a call today!
